Boyle Promotes Ken Duerholz, Ed Flowerdew, and Tanya Abdalla & Hires Ryan Nissen

Boyle Construction announces that Ken Duerholz, RA, LEED, ASHE Certified, has been promoted to Executive Vice President. Ken serves as a Project Director for Boyle’s larger, more complex construction projects and participates in overall project management, client development and maintenance, public relations, and marketing. As a Boyle principal, he shares oversight of the firm. Ken has been with Boyle since 1995, and his work ethic, management skills, and architectural degrees have greatly contributed to the firm’s growth and prosperity.

Ed Flowerdew has been named Boyle’s Vice President of Operations and will now take a larger role overseeing Boyle’s bidding and estimating services. Ed has served as a Project Director since rejoining Boyle in 2015. He estimates project costs, negotiates subcontracts, schedules project tasks, and oversees projects. He was previously a Boyle Project Manager for 11 years. Ed’s knack for building great relationships with subcontractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and, most importantly, clients has helped Boyle’s “on time, on budget” reputation grow.

Tanya Abdalla is now Boyle’s Office, Human Resources & Events Manager. Tanya started with Boyle in 2012 as a Marketing Assistant & Events Coordinator. She will now oversee Boyle’s office operations and human resources, as well as manage the firm’s special events. Tanya was previously an Event Specialist with a Fortune 500 software company and also managed marketing materials and promotions. In her new role, she will have increased responsibility in Boyle’s day-to-day operations and workforce development.

With the impending retirement of Boyle’s long-time Controller, Beverly Boger, Boyle has hired Ryan Nissen as the firm’s new Controller. Ryan started with Boyle this fall and is training with Beverly until her retirement. His background features serving as Controller of a commercial and residential construction management firm, a Property Manager for a commercial real estate firm, an Accounts Payable Manager at a real estate development company, and a Financial Sales Consultant at a retail bank. Ryan has a BS in Accounting and a BS in Business Administration from Lock Haven University. At Boyle, Ryan will oversee Boyle’s financial accounts and ensure the firm’s financial reporting’s quality and accuracy.

Beverly Boger has been with Boyle since 2004 and serves as the firm’s Treasurer/Secretary, responsible for all accounting and bookkeeping. Boyle is grateful to Beverly for her years of service and dedication to the firm.
