Boyle & Staff Help Puerto Rico

Boyle Construction’s Jimmy Betancourt has returned from a two-week trip to Arecibo, Puerto Rico, where he assisted his family and friends in the region with clean up after Hurricane Maria. Jimmy did not travel to Puerto Rico empty handed. He took with him over $5,000 in donations from the Boyle Construction family. Boyle employees donated cash and supplies, such as flashlights, batteries, and water purifying tablets, and Boyle owner, Sean Boyle, then matched employee monetary donations.

Jimmy also reached out to a local church to offer assistance to those in Arecibo most in need. The church put Jimmy in contact with widows and single mothers in the area. Jimmy purchased a chainsaw for this trip and used it to clear debris, cutting down trees on roads, garages, roofs, and cars. He also purchased supplies, groceries, gas, etc., and gave money to those in need whom he met on his trip.

Jimmy is continuing his fundraising efforts, raising further donations and sending supplies to the Arecibo community. We are proud Jimmy is a member of our Boyle Construction family.
