Boyle Construction, Inc. is pleased to announce that Ken Duerholz, AIA, Vice President, has earned the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC). Granted by the American Hospital Association, the certificate demonstrates Ken’s mastery of the critical issues of patient safety, privacy, and risk assessment, and the latest compliance issues in health care construction.
The certification process addresses issues unique to construction in the health care environment such as infection control, sensitivity to patients, and hazard control, thus enabling Boyle Construction to be a more valued partner in healthcare construction management.
An architect by trade, Duerholz is also LEED certified. He has worked with Boyle Construction for over 15 years and provides estimating and project management services. He previously worked as an estimator for a national West Coast contractor and spent five years with an architectural firm, during which time he became a registered architect and gained experience in estimating single projects in excess of $450 million. Ken received both a Bachelor of Science in architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Catholic University of America.
