The Borough of Freemansburg will be breaking ground on a new police station addition to their municipal building. This 3,000 SF expansion will improve the existing Borough office and house the Police Department for the Borough. Local casino impact fees are funding a majority of the project costs.

Freemansburg Borough was founded in 1856 and is located within the historic Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Canal Corridor. The Borough experienced a 39% growth rate from 2000 to 2010 according to the US Census Bureau, the largest growth for a Borough in the Lehigh Valley.

Groundbreaking will take place on Monday May 2nd at 6:00PM at the Borough Hall at 600 Monroe Street, Freemansburg, PA 18017 and the public is invited.
