Project Description

Boyle served as general contractor for a 24,650 SF renovation of the South Dining Hall on the Kutztown University Campus. The project totally transformed the existing lounge and dining spaces into a comfortable student hangout space with 24/7 dining options.

The two-story South Dining Hall provides an all-you-can-eat dining experience. Its first floor offers dining 24/7 via Kutztown University’s new My Time Dining meal plans. The first floor also serves as an on-campus lounge area with TVs, gaming tables, lounge seating, a computer lab, a stage for live entertainment and dining amenities, featuring Sunnysides, a self-serve breakfast nook with a cereal, waffle and yogurt bar and salads and sandwiches; Avalanche’s, a grill for breakfast and all-day specialty sandwiches and sides; Kafe, a coffee bar with desserts and pastries; and Hearth, a food service area serving subs, personal pizzas and much more.

Upstairs in the South Dining Hall is the South Side Café with additional made-to-order dining options, including Char, Noodle & ‘Wich for lunch and dinner; Sushi and Sear for Teppanyaki style cooking; Origins for rotating selections from different cultures; and Chop for daily meat and potato selections.
