Boyle provided construction management services to renovate an existing building into the new Lehigh Valley Plastics facility. Lehigh Valley Plastics had previously been operating out of three separate buildings. The new facility allowed the firm to operate in one facility, improving efficiencies and reducing redundancies in shipping, receiving, offices, toilet and locker facilities, lunch rooms and other manufacturing and administration spaces.
The new climate-controlled 55,000 SF facility is on a four-acre property, with 49,000 SF dedicated to manufacturing. The building also increased manufacturing capabilities with new high-speed precision machinery and equipment including a wireless communication system for file access at machines.
Boyle’s renovation services included demolition; site work including upgraded parking; exterior concrete pads for equipment; interior slab patching; masonry patching; carpentry; roof patching; window flashing; new windows and doors; studs and drywall; flooring finishing and sealing; toilet partitions and accessories; signage; sprinkler, plumbing, HVAC, air, electrical and contingency systems; and compressed air and gas piping systems.
Lehigh Valley Plastics is a state-of-the-art machine shop, fabricator and distributor of advanced plastic components and materials. The firm specializes in almost any type of plastic material to manufacture products to suit customer needs. The firm also performs process-oriented research and development.
