Boyle Construction has assisted Moravian College’s Facilities Management, Planning & Construction Department with various residential facility, classroom building and service area improve-ment projects. These renovations have taken place over summer break periods and have refreshed facilities to meet the College’s needs on both its Main Street and Priscilla Payne Hurd Campuses.
A 2014 project renovated the Main Residence Hall building, situated on the historical Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus, adjacent to Main Street in downtown Bethlehem. This rehabilitation involved new flooring, door renovations, electrical upgrades and painting, along with coordination and installation of owner equipment for this facility built in 1854. In 2015, Boyle performed some ADA upgrades for the Hurd Campus. On the Main Street Campus, renovations included upgrading bathroom fixtures and facilities in the Haupert Union Building Student Center; updating classroom spaces and hallway access areas; and performing upgrades in the common areas of Rau and Hassler Residence Halls.
Projects were completed on time and to sensitive budgets. Boyle coordinated subcontractors and site logistics and performed some demolition and carpentry work with its own staff.
