Project Description

Boyle has provided construction management and design-build services to Sharp Packaging since 2002, when we first oversaw renovations at Sharp’s Conshohocken packaging location. Sharp provides high-tech and biotechnology solutions to the pharmaceutical industry. Over the years, Sharp has continually relied upon Boyle for its facility construction needs, and we have overseen $51 million worth of Sharp’s projects.

When Sharp opened a flagship pharmaceutical packaging plant and corporate headquarters in Allentown in 2005, the firm hired Boyle for the project. It involved additions and renovations to an existing 80,000 SF warehouse facility with an 8,700-pallet-high density. Boyle converted it into a pharma-ceutical packaging plant. The project also featured 70,000 SF of additions. Existing offices were completely renovated, and an 11,000 SF second floor mezzanine addition provided new offices. Site development included new utilities, paving and earth work, and the existing building’s exterior was renovated with new windows aand an exterior insulation finishing system.

In 2011, Sharp retained Boyle to renovate and expand its executive suite, corporate offices and conference space. This project included 5,600 SF of renovations to expand and centrally locate its sales and marketing departments into previously unused storage space. The project featured an inviting visitor’s area, easily accessible to the main entry stair.

In 2012, after Sharp purchased an existing 25,000 SF warehouse, Boyle was hired to convert it into additional packaging space. This project was completed in January 2013. This new space allowed Sharp increased packaging capacity.

Boyle just completed $21 million renovation for Sharp, converting a 112,000 SF warehouse into packaging suites, office space and a climate controlled warehouse.
