Jennifer Davis Brings Her Experience to Boyle

With over 25 years of experience in the design and construction industry, Jen Davis was recently hired as the Vice President of Design and Development. Jen is a key member of the Boyle team assisting in strategy and ensuring quality project start-ups. Her primary focus areas will be business development, marketing, project planning and preconstruction services. Jen recently sat down for a Q&A interview.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself and your professional background?

A: I have a background in architecture and made the switch to construction about 16 years ago.  I really enjoy the teamwork, problem-solving, and camaraderie of the industry.  My experience has allowed me to bridge the gap between design and execution, helping great ideas turn into successful projects.

Q: What got you interested in the construction industry?

A: I was drawn to the hands-on aspect of construction.  The fast pace and constant collaboration really appealed to me, so I made the pivot.  Every day is different, and every project is different.  There’s always something new to learn, and it feels great to contribute to projects that benefit the community.

Q: What drew you to Boyle Construction?

A: Boyle Construction stood out to me because of its reputation for excellence and strong portfolio.  The team here is incredibly talented, high energy, and dedicated. It’s a place where I feel I can contribute meaningfully while continuing to develop my skills. And I can’t forget to mention the snacks – anyone who has spent time at Boyle’s office knows that food is our love language!

Q: What is the most satisfying part of the job?

A: The most satisfying part of my job is the teamwork. Working closely with my colleagues at Boyle, design partners, and clients to bring projects to life is rewarding.  Everyone’s contributions come together to create something tangible and meaningful.

Q: What do you think is the biggest challenge you’ll face in this role?

A: The biggest challenge in this role is staying ahead in a highly competitive market. The construction industry is constantly evolving, and it requires continuous effort to innovate, build strong relationships, and anticipate industry trends. I see this as an opportunity to leverage my background and Boyle’s resources to create unique value propositions for our clients.

Q: what are your hobbies or interests outside of work?

A: Outside of work, I recently took up tennis, and it’s been a great way to stay active and spend time outside.  I enjoy the challenge of improving my game, even though my husband and kids always beat me on the court.
