Project Description

Boyle Construction served as construction manager for the new Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department facility. The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police was a multi-jurisdictional Police department in southeastern Pennsylvania that provided law enforcement services to four incorporated municipalities in Berks and Lehigh Counties, including Topton Borough, Lyons Borough, Maxatawny Township and Upper Macungie Township.

The 12,000 SF, two-story facility featured:

  • First Floor—K9 training room and kennel area; women’s and men’s locker rooms; traffic, evidence, weapons, bulk evidence and processing room; a Patrol room; a holding cell; a sally port; a two-car garage; and a physical training.
  • Second floor—Multiple single and group offices, interview rooms; secure storage; a vestibule and reception area; server, copy and break rooms; an archives area; toilet rooms; and a janitor’s closet.

The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department disbanded in December 2012.
